From My Camera, Mays, Winter

Winter 2020 in Photos

So I’ve been making my yearbooks for 2018 & 2019 *yes, I know it is 2020!) I made them for 2016 & 2017 and then life got crazy. I kept wanting to make them but really never sat down to start. I got real motivated this year upon realizing I was two years behind and none of my yearbooks include either of my girls! I’ve been going through all my photos month by month to put them together and found so many photos that I never edited let alone shared or printed anywhere. I like carting my camera around and taking pictures of all the things but sometimes photos just don’t make it to a blog post. I realized this over the Christmas season too when I had a bunch of Christmas photos but nothing that really would be for a full blog post and so I tried something new – I just threw them all into one post! And I’m so glad I did.

When I started this blog it was just an online journal and although it has changed and grown in so many ways, it is still just that. So here our Winter in photos. And be ready for Spring, Summer, and Fall too. Round up posts were big when I started blogging and I am bringing them back but in a bit more of a modern way!

aunt becca & cousin Judah in town

My little sister spent the last week of her maternity leave visitng us in Colorado just after Millie was born and it was so fun to have them! I did do two blog posts about our time together (The Cousins Meet & A Trip to the Zoo) but here are some more photos that didn’t make it into those. Mostly just Millie crying and Judah wondering why she is crying.

Hats to you

Millie Bea days old in a hat I got for her to match her big sister. I don’t think I ever got a photo of them together in this… Maybe we still have time! lol.

first day of the year

We took these photos on a walk during golden hour on January 1st! Some of our last moments as a family of three!

Mays in Town

Seriously should have taken more photos when our best friends were in town… but I was huge pregnant and low key on bed rest.

Dat Baby

I took so many photos of Hilde as a baby but I still wish I took more! Everyone uses that “second baby” excuse to not have photos the new baby but I didn’t want that to be me! So I’ve been taking photos as much as I can!

Snacking

I took some photos of us hanging out the week before Millie came. Just some normal moments of the three of us!

nine on the couch

Writing this post during shelter in place here in Colorado because of the coronavirus – missing all these kiddos & their mamas. We normally spend lots of our days with this crew 9 kids 3 & under!

Millie bea

Just some forced cuddle time & photo proof.

The Wind in My hair

I took these photos while I was nursing a three week old Millie in the car and Hilde was playing. She was just being so cute and I noticed I had my camera with me. The lighting was weird (which in the past would have deterred me from taking the photo but I am so glad I just took them! Look how adorable the turned out!

First Hot cocoa

Another snow day means getting creative! I made Hilde some of the most watered down, lukewarm hot cocoa and she was thrilled with it! Love staying in our jamies all day on snow days!

This little peanut

Making sure that I don’t forget to take pictures of Millie as a baby! Also documenting these swan leggings!!

New hair who dis?

Had to document this hair chop and my first professional hair dye ever! I am so in love with the blonde and feeling all kinds of fierce with this new do! I told Sam of Wildflowers & Roses to do whatever she wanted and I left with this!!!!

Garden of the Gods

Just before COVID-19 took over our lives, Amy & Eddy came through Colorado and we went to Garden of the Gods with them for a fun little outing! Sam & Tyler were supposed to come too just a week later but it had to be canceled ๐Ÿ™

Cutie patootie

Tired of photos of my kids? Then why do you read my blog. They are my favorite photo subjects!

Zoo

We have been going to the zoo since before she was born (we even got engaged there!) And it is fun to see her enjoy it more and more! Even in the snow!

Rockledge Ranch

We love hanging out with our friends (and these photos are making me ache over the fact that we haven’t seen them for over a month now!!!) Hilde is a year and a half younger than Andi and just starting to play really well with her! It is so fun to watch! She looks up to her so much!

Nom, nom, Nom

I’ve been making a homemade chicken soup this winter and we are all loving it! I just made another big batch and put some of it in the freezer so that it can last longer! Add some buttered sourdough toast and you are good to go!
