Quarantine Photo Challenge

My friend Ashlee (of Ashlee Kay Photography) came up with a fun photo challenge to do while we were home quarantined for the initial three weeks of quarantine. Now we enter a couple more weeks and honestly the future is so up-in-the air with what the future holds! Now is a great time to jump into this challenge (just start with day 1) or even when all this is over! It is always a good time to take pictures and challenge yourself to think differently!

This matters mama. The snuggles you give. The diapers you change. The laundry you fold. The meals you plan. The babies you carry. The sleep you lose. The prayers you pray. The activities you plan while quarantined at home. It all matters. The things that can feel unnoticed and unappreciated are in fact life changing. Raising your babies – showing them Christ. Teaching them to serve, share, love, and help. I know it’s hard. Especially being quarantined. While so many people have more time on their hands, some of us got even more added to our to-do list. It’s hard not to be jealous of other’s quarantined life and to not miss the way things used to be before shelter at home orders. But #thismatters. Each day with your family. And you don’t have to do it alone. ” The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him. ” Psalm 28:7 #stayhomephotoaday

I’ve never spent so much time at Garden of the Gods. It is a truly stunning place but I usually skip it because of visitor traffic. These days are slower and quieter. I’ve found myself loading up the girls for yet another walk in the garden. The paths are great for Hilde to run next to the stroller (get that energy out girl!) and I am not worried about her running into traffic (like I am when we do walks around the block!) Watching Hilde strut & stride around, find pinecones & rocks, point out birds, deer, and airplanes has all been a gift in this season. When life goes back to normal, I think we’re still going to have to tough out the crowds to come back to our new favorite spaces. ✌🏻 STRIDE #stayhomephotoaday
