Christmas Eve

During this photo Hilde was yelling "Picture Time! Picture Time!" Because I said once we got this photo she could inside and play with her cousins! Apparently my bribe worked because she willingly took a bunch of cute photos with her little sister! My mom found this vintage Christmas fabric while thrifting for $2 and I fell in love with it! We had to figure out a way to make use of it and we figured out it was enough fabric to make two skirts! Old Navy had a sale on the long sleeve shirts ... continue reading...

Christmas, Motherhood, Nugget

Oh Christmas Tree

Apparently my new MO is to make holiday themed forts! We got our Nugget Comfort this summer and it has been so much fun to play with this year! I made this Monster Fort for Halloween so it only seemed fitting to make a Christmas Tree Fort for Christmas! I did a pick up order at Target to get some Christmas Tree decorations (pom pom garland + a pom pom wreath) and I brought down the Christmas gnomes I snagged online at buybuy BABY (light grey + dark grey). Then I set up this tree while the ... continue reading...

How We Do + Don’t Do Santa

Ask Elizabeth: Do you guys do Santa? Or Elf on the shelf?  Oh Santa! He won't be visiting us tonight. We don't shy away from Santa movies or Santa toys or adorable Santa mugs during Christmas but to our family and our girls, he's no more than a Christmas character. And those Elves on the Shelf? We don't do those either. In my opinion they are a little on the creepy side. I'm not a huge fan of the whole spying/ tattle-telling on each other thing they do. I also don't really get why they are ... continue reading...

The North Pole

Last week I told Bruce I wanted to do something fun and Christmasy with the girls. I came up with a couple things and the North Pole was one of them (I was inspired by a friend's Instagram story!) The nostalgia won, and we ended up at Santa's Workshop. Both Bruce and I grew up going here and it was our first time bringing our own kids! It was a bit chilly, a lot windy, but very magical. You'll never be able to tell from these photos but Hilde loved every minute of it ;) She couldn't get over ... continue reading...

A Christmas Tour Of Our House

Our house feels so festive this year. Last year we were weeks away from giving birth and just a couple weeks into living in this house. I was spending more time unpacking, than decorating for Christmas. We still of course got a tree and put up decorations while we were unpacking (since it is the most wonderful time of the year) but this year I actually was established enough to make our home the most festive it has ever been. This house just has a better layout for Christmas than our old one did ... continue reading...
