Are you still in the mood for reflection posts? I know January is nearly over, but I actually feel really good about hitting publish on this one before the end of the month! I used to put a lot of pressure on myself to have posts like this go live on New Years Eve, followed by the resolution post on New Years Day. But God has been teaching me a lot these days about slowing down, prioritizing well, and trusting that a job (or post) well done is better than a post "on time" (whatever that means ... continue reading...

A Family Reunion in Buena Vista
I come from a close family with four kids. We since have all grown up, gotten married, and moved away / had kids or both. Meaning that the family has more than doubled in size since the 90's. With Bruce's family who all lives in town, we get everyone together about once a month to make sure we make memories and spend time together. But my side doesn't have that luxury as half the kids live elsewhere. That means when we do plan a whole family reunion, it is a pretty big deal. Last time we ... continue reading...
100 Things I Love (Summer 2022 Edition)
I love being pregnant and I love not being pregnant anymore after nine months. I love seeing the face of the little human who has been kicking me for the last couple months and having them steal another piece of my heart. I love how the more kids I have, my love only multiplies not divides. I love those first days with our bebe when Bruce hangs out with me all day long. I love when my mom watches the girls and people bring meals so I don't have to think about it. I love the footprints they take ... continue reading...
The Shed Office Part One
One day I think we will just call it the office but right now it is the shed office. We are building an office in the form of a shed in our backyard and we are so excited. Like SOOOO excited. We've always had a dream of building a shed that could function as an office but it was never a possibility in the town home (for obvious reasons! lol) When we bought this house, we knew eventually a shed office would be in our future! We've been working on this for a couple months now, designing the ... continue reading...
A Christmas Tour Of Our House
Our house feels so festive this year. Last year we were weeks away from giving birth and just a couple weeks into living in this house. I was spending more time unpacking, than decorating for Christmas. We still of course got a tree and put up decorations while we were unpacking (since it is the most wonderful time of the year) but this year I actually was established enough to make our home the most festive it has ever been. This house just has a better layout for Christmas than our old one did ... continue reading...
The Entryway
Just this week we celebrated our first year in this home! It went as fast and as slow as a year with a newborn during COVID goes ;) I've been exceedingly grateful for this home in this unexpected season. It is so clear why the Lord randomly put it on our hearts to look for a home and how this house just fell into our laps the first day we looked at homes. This house is way easier to stay at home in without going crazy! On our first anniversary of this home, I figured it was time for another ... continue reading...
Would I RECOMMEND starting a new blog in 2020?
Ask Elizabeth: Hello! I know you have been blogging for years but I am wondering if you would start today if you haven't already? I'm thinking of starting a blog in the new year but already feel 5 steps behind. Is it worth it? My answer is always yes to something like this. If you want to start a blog, do it! This question has been sitting in my Ask Elizabeth drafts for months now (clearly as it is already May!) but I feel like it is still so fitting. Who would ... continue reading...
I Am Not Enough
I am not enough. Yikes! The mantra these days is that we are enough, we can do anything, we deserve good things, and self love. While I like the idea of a lot of that, the truth is I am not enough. I cannot do all the things. I don't deserve good things - the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23) And the greatest commandment - love God, love others requires me putting God & others before myself. When I champion the phrase " I / you am/are enough." I set us up for disappointment. Because I'm ... continue reading...
The Nursery Reveal
Thank you buybuy BABY for sponsoring this post! Hey-o! Nursery post coming atcha! It feels like everything with this house is slow to get done but that's just the season of life we are in. Making this home livable was priority #1 and now the rest is icing on the cake. Well really, it's also the cake itself but I am trying to be okay with the unfinished while we get things done. Yesterday Bruce and I planned out the front yard to tackle this Spring/ Summer. I think we may even halt ... continue reading...
Our Daily Moments January
Thursday January 30th, 2020 It is our first Our Daily Moments with Millie! How sweet! It is also the first month of 2020 and I am hoping to get in Our Daily Moments for all 12 months in this year!! I have very few goals this year so I really think this one can be accomplished! As long as I don't get pregnant again... I started this series last year because with babies (and without!) it is so easy to let life fly by. I want to celebrate the everyday and the now but I don't think to get out ... continue reading...
My First Trimester
Seventeen months ago I wrote a post on this very topic and now we are back full circle as we expect baby #2! While there are a lot of things that are/ were the same, it is also so different this time around! But I guess, like any good story, we have to start at the beginning. I knew I was pregnant before I took the pregnancy test. I could just tell. It was the morning of my 31st birthday (May 10th 2019) and I decided to take a pregnancy test. I then proceeded to take two more through the ... continue reading...
Our Baby Book by Artifact Uprising
Oh my goodness. I just got around to editing photos we took in October (lol. #mamalife) and my heart may have melted a tad bit. Hilde was so tiny! I remember this outfit - it is one of the 0-3 month ones and now we are rocking the 6-12 month category. Also, she was a sneaky smiler at this time - we would freak out at any kind of hint of a smile. Now here at nearly 5 months, we can get her to smile at us all the time but these little 8 week old smiles are just the cutest. They say babies ... continue reading...
Adorable Hampers for the Nursery
So I had the hardest time picking out a hamper for Hilde's room. Everything else was pretty easy to make a decision on but the hamper situation really gave me a run for my money! I liked too many of them and kept trying to figure out the direction I wanted for her room. It's silly really. It is just a hamper! But I love having hampers in the living space which means they have to look nice. Also, I prefer them to have a lid (to keep things looking tidy) and a liner (so that you can wash it / ... continue reading...
The Dove Inn in Golden, Colorado
We've been traveling a lot this summer (and this pregnancy in general) but we wanted to make sure we got in a dedicated babymoon. For one, I love any excuse to getaway and for two, I like saying babymoon!! We didn't have tons of time on our hands to make a big trip out of it with some other vacations on the calendar and some future ones after Hilde is born. We wanted to save those vaca days, so we just went away for an overnight in Colorado and it was perfect! We stayed at the beautiful ... continue reading...
Things to get done in my Third Trimester
It's official! I am in my 3rd trimester and 9 weeks (give or take) until meeting out little one. Here is the thing - I don't know what I am doing. Haha! Being pregnant is a funny thing. So much of the work my body is doing all on it's own! Now that I am in my third trimester, I am starting to make a list of all the things I'd like to do/ get done before baby! Here is my Third Trimester Prep List: Schedule Maternity / Newborn Photos I want all the photos! I think this is such a sweet season ... continue reading...

Rethinking Clean with Tide
This post has been sponsored by Tide. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Guys, we're having a baby! I am sure you've figure it out by now because I cannot stop talking about it (sorry if I turned into that girl!) but it really has impacted so many facets of my life. As a lifestyle blog, this place has always been about the seasons and places I am in - which mostly has been married in Colorado. But now with this little one (who is moving around like crazy right now as I type this!) is coming ... continue reading...
The First Trimester
Now that I am several weeks out of the first trimester, I feel a bit more prepared to talk about it all! I attempted several times to write during those first weeks but it pretty much was too draining to think about sitting at my computer, let alone type any paragraphs that made sense. The first weeks after we found out I was pregnant felt mostly fine but once 6 weeks hit, I fell apart. I was so exhausted I thought something was wrong with me. I couldn't drive, couldn't work, couldn't make ... continue reading...
