A Mama’s Back to School Prayer

I have a kindergartener. Can you believe it!? Goodness me, we have has so many milestones, memories, vacations, birthdays over here that I am having a hard time keeping up with it all! Thorin turned one, Hilde lost a tooth, Hilde turned five and started her first day of Kindergarten, we went to Breckenridge, threw two birthday parties less than a month apart, and .. um…I think that’s all! My camera has gotten a work out these days and I am already dreading how to fit the photos from these months into my family yearbook. And yes, I am still working on 2021 and 2022 because it takes me forever to cram our year into 100 pages! LOL.

Today I send my first baby off to school for the first time. Yes, we homeschool ๐Ÿ˜‰ but homeschoolers don’t just stay home all day! She is going to an outdoor homeschool enrichment program that is one full day a week! Filled with teachers, classmates, learning, adventures, and full days in the outdoors! She is so excited and honestly, I am so excited for her too! I just know that this program will be a good fit for our outdoor loving, adventure girl!

a Mama’s Back to School Prayer

Sweet Hilde, sweet child,

I pray you have adventures, make memories and friends.

I pray that your joy would be contagious, your kindness unending.

I pray you are inspired by the complex world God created, and the people he created.

I pray you see His hand in your lessons, your teachers, your classmates.

I pray you try new things without the fear of failure.

I pray that your heart wont get discouraged when things are hard or new or scary.

I pray you are the friend to the one in need, the hype girl to draw the team together.

I pray you are supported and encouraged by your teachers as you learn away from our home.

I pray that this independence stretches you and pushes you toward a greater reliance on your Lord.

And, my child, I pray you always know you are held in His hands even when you cannot be held in mine.

PS: Here is the letterboard we used in these photos!
