Our Hilde Joy is FIVE and you will never guess what her favorite show is 😉 Like any household with children growing up in this decade, Bluey has taken over our home! We’ve got Bluey toys, Bluey games, Bluey books, Bluey “stuffies,” and all the seasons we can own on DVD. The girls say things like “big fella,” “swimmies,” “for real life?,” “I’m busting,” and “wackadoo!” We play games like “keepy uppy” and pass the parcel. And weekly, if not daily, I have two grannies wandering around my house calling each other Janet and Rita!
When Hilde said she wanted a Bluey 5th birthday, I said “well you’re DREAMIN’, mate!” Just Kidding 😉 Clearly we went with it! It was so much fun bringing this all together!
Like previous years, we set up the cake table to show off our theme! We also had balloons lying around for Keepy Uppy, a game of Pass the Parcel with Lucky’s Dad’s Rules, photo moments with Bob Bilby, a pinata, and general backyard food & fun! It was so much fun celebrating our eldest with our friends and family and all joining in on the Bluey magic. It is one of the few shows that both kids and parents can laugh, cry, and enjoy all together!
