The Holidays are just around the corner, I know it is still October but it will be crazy how quickly they come on us! It is so easy to get caught in the hustle & bustle of the season. The NEED to shop, make, create, decorate, host, cook, clean, DIY, blog, bake cookies, mail gifts, and a million other things. I am willing to bet that I am not the only perfectionist out there – I cannot be the only one who wants to do it all, and do it perfectly, right?!
That is why I was so drawn to Naptime Diaries Advent Calendar last year. It was just what I needed to slow down and focus on each day. To remember what the season is really all about and to keep my heart in check. This year the calendar comes with even more! A 25 day devotional and meditations for each day of advent!
There is a print and meditation for each day of advent. To help you and your family stay in check and keep a clear & constant reminder of the season. I would love to see what how you style your advent calendars this year – hang them on the wall, fireplace, in a frame… so many creative ways to display these cards! USE CODE: OAKANDOATSADVENT for 10% off! Once you get your calendar in the mail, use #ntdadvent & #holdersnotfolders to share it with us all!
That is amazing!! We're still kind of setting up traditions in our family, but I love advents.
Every year my parents hide our stockings (They still do and I'm 31). Every christmas morning we get up early to find them! It's such a fun tradition!
I have two favorite traditions. The first is that we always string popcorn for garland around the Christmas tree. And the second is reading the Nativity story and singing Happy Birthday to Jesus on the steps on Christmas morning before going down to see what Santa brought us 😉 What is your favorite tradition? -Jess
Beautiful! My favorite tradition is the treasure hunt my mom would do for us. She would hide the first clue on the tree and then we'd spend hours trying to figure out the other clues to find the gift at the end (it was something for the whole family-a movie or a new board game).
I love everything about Christmas!!! One of my favorite traditions is cuddling up in my pjs, drinking hot cocoa, and driving around looking at Christmas lights. 🙂
My family always took a little gift to all the neighbors on our street on Christmas Eve. It is such a great way to spread love and cheer and just let your neighbors know you're thankful for them.
There are so many traditions that my family follows for Christmas, but one of my favorites is our annual get-together at my aunt's house for dinner before all piling together in "our" pew at church to sing carols, ending with Silent Night by candle light.
I live in Germany, so Advent calendars are very common! LAst year I made one for my brothers, with candy, notes, things to do. One thing I love the most about advent are the sundays. the four sundays before christmas, we light one candle more on an advent wreath and have a long breakfast all together, with singing and eating and being grateful 🙂 The light is just so beautiful!
My favorite traditions is going to cut down our Christmas tree!
We buy an ornament each year to represent the past year of our marriage/life!
