Happy Mother’s Day! There is something about sharing a Mother’s Day Gift Guide that I cannot resist. It is very near my birthday, my mother’s birthday, and my MIL’s birthday so I am just in the mama gift season of my brain! For this gift guide I wanted to highlight things I already own, use, and love so you know they are good!
I’ve had my Calendar Girl since 2020 and we get the new wardrobe for each new year! I leave it sitting out in our entry way, but it also makes an appearance at birthday tables and other fun events ( I spy January 2024 here and August 2023 here!) It is a gift that keeps on giving! Also these Promptly journals are new to me but I am so excited to fill them out for each kiddo! They are memory books that are achievable and fun!
I’m so excited about this Parker Baby Backpack! I have purchased several things from this brand over the years for storage and was super excited about this new backpack because it fits my laptop and has great spaces for my work/ life storage! I also am obsessed with crossbody bags these days (what mom isn’t?!!) and this one is great because it fits so much! Plus a cute Pop Socket on my phone to help me hold my phone while juggling a million other things! And I have this wet/dry bag in the car with diapers, wipes, and first aid! It is so helpful to store in the car and be ready for any emergency while we are out and about!
My mornings are always made better with coffee in my mama mug!! My dear friend Meredith throws pottery and her mugs are my favorite! Support a mama and give to your mama – it is a win/win! I am also loving my ESV study journal Bible and these no-bleed highlighters. They are really perfect for Bible highlighting!
Does your mama love books as much as I do? For The Children’s Sake is a different kind of parenting/ motherhood book that I adored! It is packed not only with ideas and methods of training children but also practical advice! I think this is a great book for any Christian parent to read – not just homeschooling parents – because it talks about educating our children in general and picking school situations that will be best for them. It did encourage me to homeschool and helped inspire some of the schedule changes I am making to our day-to-day life! I found myself clarifying some thoughts and methods for teaching my kids with a huge emphasis on reading good books, getting outside, free play, and personal relationship. I also loved the Biblical foundation and worldview behind this book and educational philosophy. Seeing our children as people created by God with His image worthy of intention & exposure to beautiful things and our role as parents to train our kids in the way they should go. I also recently purchased Every Season Sacred and am enjoying it. We’re in the middle of the Spring season and I am encouraged by the liturgy and readings. My Raycon earbuds are perfect for listening to audiobooks on the Libby app when doing dishes or rocking a baby back to sleep in the middle of the night! The charge lasts forever and I love that it is cordless!
Lastly, I’ve always loved the Willow Tree figurines and the Motherhood ones are so sweet to me. I have a couple around my house. And I fell in love with these Magnet Frames at Target that allow me to display even more photos in my house! It is a way to fill your fridge with photos while still keeping it a little classy 😉
