Good news guys! The February Family Fun Event is BACK ON! I know you all have noticed that we skipped going to Snow Mountain Ranch for a couple Februaries 😉 HAHA! Okay so maybe you are not hanging onto every word I say and tracking my vacations on your calendar (although shouldn’t I be planning another Disney trip about now?!!?) but historically we were going to Winter Park for an annual family vacation every February. The last time we went was in 2016 and, for a variety of reasons, it didn’t happen again until 2021. The truth is that I thought it was a tradition that died and I was sad my girls never got to be a part of the house full of cousins and crazy shared meals. Thank goodness I was wrong and I’m happy to report that the girls were HERE FOR IT!
I already shared a couple posts from this trip – The Tubing Hill & Cozy in the Stroller – and both of them say that “it was COLD & WINDY!” Haha! Some years we just have the best weather and others we don’t! I am the type of person who loves to plan and get her hopes/ expectations all set up so things like this can really mess with me. I was bummed but really tried to focus on the sweet family time and the shear blessing that COVID got us a free upgrade to a bigger cabin!
The Craft Shack
Every year we go to the craft building to make a craft. They have all kinds of fun things and all the cousins have a blast usually painting their plaster of paris! Seeing that Hilde is only 2.5 years old and has the attention span of said two-year-old, we opted for a less time consuming art project.
Cabin Life
We had a lot of cabin life on this trip. Thankful beyond measure for the extra space! It was good for all the crazy!
The blanket ride from older cousins was a must do for the younger three. I have no idea how long this went on but it was infinitely longer than I would have the patience for! Thank goodness for older cousins!
Pictured here is us singing for Brad and watching him open gifts. We get together each month to celebrate and open gifts and Brad just happened to get the family vacation for his birthday celebration!
Games and family and food and lounging.
We even got a couple family photos! I
Outside the Cabin
Like I mentioned, it was so cold and windy but that didn’t take away from the beautiful! I love these sunset photos that turn into sunrise!
It wasn’t what I had planned for our hoped but making memories with family is always worth it. These kids grow so fast – I’m thankful for all the memories we have and the photos we take!
Wow! Such gorgeous views! Makes me want to make a trip out that way sometime soon!
It was so fun!
It looks like it was a fantastic and lovely family get away! I could definitely use one of those right now, lol!
