Spare Room Update

A couple months ago my friend Kelsey casually mentioned that if I ever wanted to help her figure out what to do with the extra room in her house I could. That pretty quickly turned into us planning on how to make her spare room a beautiful &  livable space 😉 Kelsey & her husband Dan have been doing a lot of work on the 1950’s home they purchased a couple years ago. Long story short, one of the projects was redoing the kitchen and moving the washer & dryer to a different location (yes it was in the kitchen!) They knocked down a small wall and made a bigger closest in one of their spare bedrooms to hold the washer & dryer.

The moving of the washer & dryer to this room started all the conversation around this space. How could we make it pretty yet functional? Barn doors, a desk for working, a reading nook, and some wallpaper.
