Thank you Walls Need Love for sponsoring this post! All thoughts an opinions are my own.
A couple months ago my friend Kelsey casually mentioned that if I ever wanted to help her figure out what to do with the extra room in her house I could. That pretty quickly turned into us planning on how to make her spare room a beautiful & livable space 😉 Kelsey & her husband Dan have been doing a lot of work on the 1950’s home they purchased a couple years ago. Long story short, one of the projects was redoing the kitchen and moving the washer & dryer to a different location (yes it was in the kitchen!) They knocked down a small wall and made a bigger closest in one of their spare bedrooms to hold the washer & dryer.
The moving of the washer & dryer to this room started all the conversation around this space. How could we make it pretty yet functional? Barn doors, a desk for working, a reading nook, and some wallpaper. If you have been around here for at least a year, you know my love for Walls Need Love wallpaper. We love how easy it is to set up and it makes such a statement in such a short amount of time! The best part about Walls Need Love is that it is not only easy to put up but also easy to take down (and move around as much as you want as you try to line things up perfectly!!!)
So Kelsey & I hit up the Walls Need Love website and picked out the perfect accent wall for her home – Beat Generation! While we were there, we started brainstorming all of the other things we could order from Walls Need Love that would tie the space together – Leafy Greens Pouffe, Fern Gully Pillow, Growing Greens Pillow, and the Cactus II Art Print!
Kelsey is a true Colorado girl and loves to spend her time in the outdoors. We wanted to make that an apparent part of her home with touches of leaves and succulents with blues and greens. I am amazed at the transformation that Walls Need Love was able to give this room! It is comforting, clean, simple, and relaxing!
The wallpaper MAKES this room and it was so fun to work together on this project. Are you wanting to spruce up your home (or a friend’s home)?! —> SAVE 25% off orders of $30 or more at Walls Need Love with promo code: OAKANDOATS25

Thanks so much!! We think so too!
This looks wonderful! I love the greens and blues together and the print and pillow are my faves. I definitely need to get some of that wallpaper one day! I can’t wait to have a home of my own where I can decorate like this. I just hope I’m brave enough to mix and match prints. You do it so well, and I’m always so afraid I’m doing it wrong.
Thanks so much!! I agree! The blues and greens are so earthy but still colorful!! I love walls need love because they are good for rentals too! It is like a big sticker that is easy to put on and take off!! I’m a firm believer in making every place you live feeeel like home even if you don’t own it!
I don’t usually like wallpaper but that printed wallpaper is gorgeous! I just love what you did with this room!
Yes! I used to hate wallpaper (because I helped too many friends scrape it off of homes they bought) but this is totally different wallpaper. IT is easy to put up and take down – it is like one big sticker! Thanks so much!!
