I’m not going to lie. I feel like I sat down to write my “three years” post just yesterday. I even thought to myself that I already had put together something for our 4th anniversary but I was thinking of what I wrote last year. Maybe I’m getting old or maybe life passes by too fast, but here we are August 18th, 2016 – celebrating four years of marriage (year 1, year 2, year 3).
I wrote an adorable/ kind of sappy post for Instagram, so I’ll just leave us with some wedding pictures here đ ! I wasn’t super into blogging for a good chunk of our dating, engagement, and early marriage. I was busy doing other things (like planning a wedding) and at that time my blog was just a random hobby. I always look back on that season wishing I blogged more so that I could have evidence and memories of those years. But it’s okay – it wasn’t my season to blog and that’s perfectly okay.
Honestly, a lot of the reason this blog is where it is today is because of that man that I married. He has encouraged me, walked with me, sacrificed for me, so that I could be here. Bruce is just as much a part of Oak + Oats as I am! And I guess marriage looks just as good on us as it does on this blog!
I don’t have many posts about our wedding, so I’m sharing a bit of our Colorado mountain wedding with you in this post four years later because I want them on my blog and I want to look back on these years and these memories. This past year is one for the books. I love you Bruce Mayberry. Thanks for always being at my side.
