Fresh Winter Makeup

Fresh Winter Makeup - I love this easy , fresh, no make up makeup look! I tend not to wear a lot of makeup. Only recently have I even added lipsticks into my collection (that is TSwift’s influence on me 😉 ) I am a huge fan of looking put together but  in a light, fresh, and natural way. I had my good friend Laura come over and  show me how to do a no makeup makeup look for the Winter season. Fresh, healthy, and bright! Here in Colorado especially I notice my skin can get a little dry & dull. Great moisture and highlights are my BFF.

HOW TO:

  • Start with a clean face and use brush to blend in foundation.
  • Add concealer if needed and blend in.
  • Add blush to cheeks.
  • Pencil in eyebrows lightly.
  • Use golds & pinks for the eye shadow and add a fresh coat of mascara.
  • Pair the neutral eyes with a bright, bold lip – I went with a red!

PRO TIPS:

  • If you need to use concealer, use it after you put on foundation and blend in.
  • Don’t be afraid to use brushes with liquids (this one took me sometime to learn but now I can’t put on foundation without them!)
  • If you go big on the eyes, try a tamer lip. If you want to go big on the lip, don’t go overboard on the eyes. ( I went with the lip, obvi!)
  • Embrace your little quirks – Don’t feel the need to hid freckles or wrinkles!
  • The it Cosmetics eyebrow pencil is “Quite possibly the best eyebrow pencil I have ever used!” – Laura

I LOVE that red on you! My Mum always taught me to choose either the eyes or the lips and go big on one of them only, so I totally love this advice! And I’m curious to try that eyebrow pencil – I’ve never used IT cosmetic products before but I’ve only ever heard great things 🙂 x

I only wear mascara for everyday, make up is just way too much work! Haha I love the red lips thing tho, T-swift got me into that too!

So fresh. I love it! I feel like I really have to add the blush/bronzer during the winter because I can look really washed out too.

I love your hair! (And the fresh makeup, too.) How do you match foundation/concealer so well?! I’ve always steered clear because 1) I’m lazy, and 2) I’m worried it’d stand out and make me look fake!

Thanks so much – I’m loving the shorter locks! Concealer wise, I just buy the same color (light) and use a brush to blend it in! I used to be afraid on concealer but there are a lot of light weight ones out there and make up brushes do wonders on creating a airburshed/ well blended look!

I don’t wear much makeup either; a few dabs of concealer, some eyeliner, mascara, and blush! That lipstick looks wonderful on you! Love the color!

I’ve been thinking about cutting my hair for such a long time now, this only makes me want to do it even more. Love it!

It’s amazing how lipstick completes a look. I started using lipstick more regularly last year, and the amount of compliments you get is surprising. I guess where I live not many use lipstick that much, so they admire the boldness of daring to use it.
You look great with this make up 🙂
