Basement Bathroom Reveal
Drum roll please… ta-da! The first room of our basement on the blog! Guys, this project was huge and crazy and took way more of our time and sanity than we ever expected. It is now very livable but we still have a couple final touches. After 6 months of living in mess, those final touches don’t seem that bad. The winter winds & snow also rolled in so we are waiting for warmer (& drier) days to cut & paint our trim!
So here you see our beautiful bathroom that we built from nothing! All that is left is finishing up the trim but like I said above, that kinda isn’t on the priority list at the moment. We are relishing in the fact that the bathroom works and we don’t have to run upstairs to use it when we are watching movies! SCORE! I’ve included some phone photos of our adventure so that you can get an idea of what it looked like before and then during the project!
It is a small corner in the basement that we really wanted to fit a full bathroom in for the guest bedroom that we also put down there and we are proud of the way we got it all in that small space. It is a little small but it totally works and the shower is ridiculously roomy! Bruce also made sure that the shower catered to the taller crowd because he hates when showers are too short 😉
I picked up those beautiful wave photos from Minted during the middle of our basement remodel – about the time I thought we would almost be done (aka July.) I’ve had them sitting in my bedroom waiting for the basement project to finally be over. Hanging them up felt a little bit like Christmas.
WHAT YOU SEE:
- Wall Art: Minted – Waving Blue & Wavy Blue
- Baskets: Target

Ta-Da! Have you checked out Minted’s Photography prints? You can get them sent to you already framed!! YAY! Have you ever worked on a project like this?
