Another Disney trip in the books! Ever since I started bringing my real camera with us to Disney, I started having too many photos! That is not a bad thing – there are really never too many Disney photos!! It just means I end up doing these dumping posts here! HAHA! This is from our SECOND trip to Walt Disney World in 2019 and no, we don’t live in Florida! HAHA.
When we took all these pictures, we thought we would be purchasing a rental property in Orlando to act as our vacation home and also be able to be a beautiful, pinterest worthy, airbnb! If you missed it, this post shares the whole story! We are no longer doing that. I feel weird talking about it but it just part of our journey. We pushed full hard into that dream and felt the Lord just close all the doors. We’ve pivoted plans and are now closing on a new house for our family here in Colorado Springs and that wasn’t even on our radar.
But every time we got to Disney, it captures more of our heart. I heard so many things about not bringing babies to Disney and for awhile we thought we wouldn’t do it either. But then we had Hilde and while she will not remember any of the trips from this year, we love to travel with her!
Just the other day I overheard a pregnant couple taking about how they wouldn’t get to take any trips for at least the next 5 years. My heart sank because kids do change things but they don’t have to stop your life. Traveling with babies and kids is not always easy and can be a little bit scary, but it is also so rewarding! I want to teach Hilde how to travel and explore. I want her to experience new places, spend time with her family, and get out of the day-to-day schedule every now and then! Hilde has been on 8 round-trip flights and several weekends away in Colorado! And it is so worth it.
Back to Disney, if you go over labor day weekend it will be hot and you may find yourself in the middle of a hurricane like we did! But really, it is HOT. We typically only go to Disney World during the Winter months and we mistakenly thought we could survive a Florida fall 😉
We ate at Chicken Guy in Disney Springs (literally the best!), I bought new Mickey Ears, and Hilde wore this adorable outfit I found on Amazon. It was a good time.
Here are a couple posts you may find helpful if you are planning a trip with a baby that I wanted to include in this post too!
