Trim the Tree

Half the fun is picking out the tree, the rest is decorating it! I pump up the Christmas jams, deck the halls, and dance around my Christmas tree. I’ve got several boxes of ornaments and garlands that I wish didn’t have to be packed away 11 months of the year so when it is time to get them out, it is game time! It also begins my season of wearing festive clothing all the time.

Speaking of festive wear, how wonderful are these socks?! I have cold feet and hands all winter. It is just life for me. Bruce loves/hates it when I touch him with my cold toes 😉 That is why I live in socks & slippers all season long. I love these new festive Christmas Solmate Socks and I cannot take them off ( I mean, I obviously can, but I don’t want to!!) I love that they are crafted with care right here in the US & eco-friendly. Plus, they are just so fun and colorful!! I kind of love how they are mismatched!

So I danced around to Jingle Bell Rock and cried at Grown Up Christmas List (how can you not cry during that song?!) and officially got all the lights working & strung on the tree. Next comes the jingle bell garland I made back in 2013. I still love it! You can see that DIY post HERE but I’ll warn you, my photography skills were not the best back then! 😉

I then pulled out each ornament one by one. I am an ornament junky and pick them out for all our memories and adventures, so it is always fun to reminisce!

This year we got a real tree (like normal) and a a real wreath. I just love the smell of fresh pines and love brining them into my home. Plus, I just couldn’t get over how adorably this wreath was crafted!

I also snuck some stocking stuffers in while I was hanging the stockings!! I got Bruce a pair of Solmate Socks as well and was too excited to wait to stuff his stocking. I often put in little treats early – it is just so fun having secrets right in front of you!
