This week has been all about the Christmas concerts. Every year my family goes to a Christmas Joy concert at the Pikes Peak Center and it is a tradition I look forward to every year. The symphony, choirs, jazz bands, Irish bands, and bell choirs all play. It is a beautiful montage of Christmas sounds and ever year they invite the audience to sing a long for part (my fav!) This year we also doubled up on our week by adding the Josh Garrels Christmas concert to our schedule. He is so talented and his voice is so soothing – after a couple hours and getting late on a Monday night, I cozied up in my seat, closed my eyes, and just listened. It was beautiful.
I like to keep it simple yet put together for concerts. It is a fun Christmas event so you will want to dress up (depending on the concert, you may need to be even more dressed up) I tend to stick with sweater, skinnies, and boots. Dress up but pick items that feel comfortable for you when sitting. You will sit for awhile in any Christmas concert so being comfortable is key. If you are tugging on your outfit for the 90 minute concert, you’re going to miss the relaxing part of the music experience!
I just got this turtleneck from my last Stitch Fix and felt a little like Amy Grant Christmas when I put it on but I don’t mind bringing back the 90’s. I got this sweater the day it was -2 degrees here in Colorado Springs and I needed the thick layer with a built in neck scarf 😉
You look so great! I love it! and I love the Christmas concerts. A part of me wishes Tyler and I had more Christmas traditions, but I guess our biggest one is that we go back home every year, haha!
