I opened up my September POPSUGAR Must Have Box that they sent me for fall and was delighted to see this Jack & Lucy Bicoastal Wide Brim Hat sitting on the top. I’ve always wanted to be a hat girl but I’ve never felt empowered enough to try to pull them off. In a spontaneous vacation fashion, I picked up this this Ron Jon cap up a couple weeks ago in Florida. Then when I returned home, my POPSUGAR box was waiting for me with this beauty. Now I own two hats – it’s crazy 😉

While Sam of Elah Tree Photography was in town, she convinced me that I could indeed rock the wide brim hat and took pictures of me in the mountains! It was so fun to be able to hang out with another photographer and get some fun pictures with my new look. One of the things that I love about fall is that you can start layering up again. I always love putting on a pair of skinny jeans and a sweater after seasons of shorts (although the reversal is also true! haha)
