The Midland Stop

Discovering new coffee shops is on my top 10 favorite things to do – it is right up there with discovering new breweries! I like have this thing where whenever I go to a new town I have to make it my goal to find the cute coffee shop. Thanks to google & instagram ( I LOVE finding new places to go by searching hashtags & posts on instagram!!) I’ve been able to find some pretty cute ones along the way! While we were in Buena Vista we not only found a cute coffee shop but one within walking distance from the airbnb we were staying in! #score

The Midland Stop was just down the way and in the morning we all strolled down to check it out. Not only was it adorably cute but their coffee was also top notch. Also I had a wonderful historical crush on the name of the coffee shop because it is that off the train stop that used to be just across the river. Bringing all those people mining goal back to the big cities of Colorado ( I love all things history!!) John even snagged a fun sticker to always remember this place by 😉 They also had a guestbook to sign which I thought was such a fun idea for a little coffee shop in a tourist town like Buena Vista. It was pretty much the best to gather up a bunch of friends who were staying in one giant house and walk together to grab coffee. So often I’m running alone (and late) to meet a friend for coffee but it was fun to experience the whole thing with people. It didn’t matter when we got to the coffee shop or when we left because we were all already together.

That’s one of the best things about Friendcations and one of the reasons we go on them all the time. In is just really fun to go on vacation with friends! You get to spend time together & do things together you don’t normally get to do in real, everyday life. Plus going on Friendcations means everyone gets to split the price! hahah!

If you are in the Buena Vista area make sure to make a stop at The Midland Stop –  you won’t regret it!
