Summer Skin Care

I’ve been on a hunt for skin care that actually works for sometime now – like the last decade of my life! I’ve tried so many products I can’t even count them, hah! Here is the thing – I don’t have normal/ perfect skin. My skin is dry, acne prone, dull, and starting to show signs of wrinkling (sorry I smile all the time & raise my eyebrows 😉 ) Every acne product I’ve tried has killed my skin (aka: dry flake mess) and every moisturizing line has caused outbreak central. I’ve tried home products and natural remedies. I’ve tried it all.  In the Summer I tend to be a little more hopeful about my skin – I think I have the sun & air that has more moisture to thank for that. But over all, my skin care history has caused me to look at skin care with a pessimistic eye – does it really clear acne? Keep skin soft? Help with wrinkles?

With summer coming up (& a slew of stress pimples popping up since I am also fighting a season of stress), I started a new summer skin care regiment with Colleen Rothschild products. I was a bit hesitant because they advertising that their products can be used daily and are great for any skin type – young, aging, oily, or acne-prone. I am all those in one 😉 yet never really found something that could do all that. After one day I started noticing results. Like in big ways too – my skin actually looked healthier all around. Radiant Cleansing Balm

When I put this on my face the first time, I couldn’t believe it was actually cleaning because it felt so nourishing. However, it clears congested pores and dissolves make up revealing fresh, clean, and radiant skin. A unique blend of Loofah Seed and Moringa Oil improves your skin by renewing the outer-layer skin cells! I’ve never loved a face wash more. Also the great smell makes washing my face restful – like a mini facial! I’ve been using this every night before bed.

Salicylic Treatment Complex

Acne cream has been something I’ve bought for the last 10+ years. I always have a problem area that needs a dab. I’ve also tried so many kinds and narrowed it down to ones that don’t work and ones that work better. This falls into the ones that work category! It contains Niacinamide and Willow Bark, a natural source of Salicylc Acid, which work together to tackle the appearance of large pores, discoloration and rough texture, while promoting clear skin! I had four huge problem spots when I started and they all significantly gone down and healed in a short amount of time. I’ve been dabbing on during the day as needed and after I wash my face.

Clarifying Detox Mask

Because I struggle with blackheads & acne, this detox looked like just the boost I needed. The activated charcoal and French Kaolin Clay go straight to work, detoxing pores and leaving behind a more balanced complexion, while pure Micronized Silver helps keep bacteria at bay. I’ve been using this about once a week or on problem areas (looking at you chin & forehead.)

Sheer Renewal Cream

Having a moisturizer is super important to me here in Colorado.  I love that it is oil-free & provides continuous, weightless hydration and promotes new cell turnover to help minimize the appearance of lines and wrinkles. I’ve been putting it on before bed and waking up with a more refreshed look!

Daily Defense SPF 25

As a Colorado girl, I’ve grown up making sure my face has sunscreen on it. I’m not sure if we are closer to the sun or our atmosphere is thinner or what, but just a little time outside can burn your face. I’ve been putting on this SPF every morning to keep my skin healthy!
