The Feast of St. Arnold

LOCATION: Feast of Saint Arnold at Chapel of our Savior Church in the historic Broadmoor neighborhood. Colorado Springs, CO
INFO: Annual Local Brewery Charity Event. Cost: $25+ for those who are drinking – everyone else is free! WEBSITE
OUTFIT DETAILS: Sleeveless Chambray Romper || Chacos || Toms Leather Postscript Bag || Rocksbox Jewelry (use code OAKANDOATSXOXO for first month free!)

Bruce and I share a lot of loves. One of those is the love of local craft beer. Did you know that we home brewed all the beer for our wedding? Well, we did and it was a blast! We loved the personal touch that added to our wedding and we even had our talented designer friend make us labels!
As true Coloradans, we share a passion for local culture and pretty much exclusively buy local beer. It really isn’t hard to do when so many favorites come from the state of Colorado – New Belgium, Bristol, Odell, Pike’s Peak, and Paradox. Our local liquor store ( Queens) always has new local stuff and great suggestions but there is something about getting out there, talking to the brewers, and trying their newest creations. We skipped all the booths we were already super familiar with and discovered other local names. The Altfränkisches Dunkel Bier by Prost Brewing in Denver was my favorite from the day and we also picked up a bottle of the Axe & the Oak Whisky from Colorado Springs because I am a sucker for happy people and good packaging. Bruce also tried it and said it was worthy of our liquor shelf. Done.
I wore my sleeveless chambray romper to the event because it is cute and easy. I am also slightly obsessed with rompers these days so there is that as well! These Chacos take me everywhere and I am working on my summer Chaco tan line so I find it hard to wear any other sandal – don’t judge me. This beautiful Colorado weather is beckoning me for the everyday adventures and I want to be prepared with the proper footwear for all the events!

Do you try to get out and do local festivals? What kinds of things draw you in? Drinks, food, activities, music? I would love to hear about your favorite local events!

Well we just got all the gear and set up at friend's houses! You can get kits and find recipes. The groomsmen just went at it and we brewed and bottled 300+ beers for our wedding!

I LOVE local festivals! Music, food, crafts, but sadly not so much beer now that there's a baby in the picture haha!
