This holiday weekend we tried to spend as much time outside as possible. We went on multiple hikes (some with our cameras and some with just ourselves), ate meals outside, and played at the park while the sun was setting. It still rained a lot this weekend, as seems to be the new thing but we didn’t let that stop us.
We also got some headway on finishing our basement, helped friends landscape their backyard, went to a Rockies Game, attended Eagle Lake Chapel at the Glen, and watched an embarrassingly large amount of The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt – so we pretty much need a weekend from our weekend!
There is something about three day weekends and the good outdoors that rejuvenates the spirit and refreshes the mind. Oh, how I miss the days of true summer breaks but I’ll take all the weekend adventures I can get.
How was your weekend? Do you go away for the weekend or did you have adventures at home like us? How do you still soak in Summer if you work full time?
Its still so fun to see Meg's face in your photos! I bet yall are having a great time!
Three day weekends are the best ever! We have one coming up here in Australia – yay! Looks like you had a wonderful weekend. Lots of time spent outdoors sounds like the perfect way to spend it 🙂

Hahahahaha oh man. I love these pictures so much. That one of Laura and me…#classicattractiveface.
Looks so fun! I would fall of that slackline and break something haha.
I fall off all the time! hahah!
seriously. #toocute
I know! It is a JOY! I keep thinking she has to fly back home because vacation is over! 🙂 but it is not!
Looks like so much fun! 🙂
I am so impressed with everyone's balance on the slackline! I tried it once and it was awful, seriously I have the worst balance (I have no idea how I was ever a flyer in college cheer!!) but I want to get better – maybe I should give it another go!
I am not good at all! It takes practice. My husband says it is muscle memory so you just have to keep doing it!
Yeah I think it looks like so much fun!
