COVID-19, Easter, Faith, Spring

Our Easter

Easter itself brought us snow and 20 degree temperatures but the day before we were outside all day in the 70 degree weather! You can even see that storm rolling in! HAHA. Millie turned three months old (you can see the official post here) so we had to take those montlhy photos. Like always, it turns into a family affair! I love these photos of our days this weekend. This beautiful view is a short walk from our house which makes me feel so spoiled.

This Easter is nothing like normal yet so much the same. We didn’t get dressed to go to church, celebrate with our church body in person, go to our families for BBQs and Easter egg hunts. But we did hop into a zoom call to do dinner with my family and another one to do Easter Sunday with our Church body.

Our traditions looked a bit different (like Dunkin Donuts didn’t have Easter themed donuts… 🙁 ) but the message remains the same. We don’t have to live in darkness, Christ has made a way for us to run into His marvelous light.

“O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.

1 Corinthians 15:55-58

I’m trying to make notes in my keep app on my phone to always remember this season. It’s not always easy and it is so unknown but I do know that one day this too will be history. The victory has been won through our Lord Christ Jesus. The world is hard and more than ever can we see that on such a global scale. A pandemic in the midst of all the other hurts, issues, pains, sin, and darkness. Praying that we would be steadfast together as the body of Christ. abounding in the wordk of the Lord even when confined to the walls of our home. Because all this is not in vain!!

Next Easter I pray we will be able to hug grandparents, stand next to each other as we worship, let the kids play together, and have giant Easter egg hunts with friends & family. But until then, I’ll leave you with sweet photos of my darling family and this current season we are in! One day at a time.

Happy Easter!
