Happy Baby Belly

The last time I took belly face photos I posted them on my due date. Our sweet Hilde Joy was one full week late and the anticipation was so crazy. It is so funny how you get set on that “due date.” You track each week based on that, you share it with countless friends & family (even strangers!) and you repeat it at nearly every doctor’s apt! I remember saying August 14th over and over in my head so much that it still feels like one of those important dates my brain needs to remember.

This time around our due date is January 14th and I won’t be able to take these photos or write this post for Millie Bea‘s due date. Early on we scheduled her birthday because a) her birthday is too close to Hilde’s c-section and now b) she is breech too! We’re going as close to full term as we can while keeping an eye on my body this time around. January 10th was the scheduled date up until a couple weeks ago and then it got moved to the 11th! So we have all kinds of dates in our head this time!

We had a couple “this could be it” moments this pregnancy too which really threw us for a loop! One of them even being in 2019! I told Bruce that I NEEDED belly pictures and if we had to take them in the hospital, we were going to make it happen. As you can see, we did make them happen and not in the hospital. We took them this week while I’ve been resting at home awaiting Millie’s birth! If you have been around here for any amount of time, it is no secret that I am a fan of tradition and I get reaaaaallly into making sure they happen. I loved my silly belly face photo shoot with Hilde and HAD to make sure our sweet Millie got the same. Both times the photos are in the nursery but this time the house and the face is different!

So happy belly face photos Millie! We meet you tomorrow and I am trying to make sure everything is lined up and ready for your arrival. Hospital bags are packed. Hilde’s bags are packed for a weekend with your grandparents. Car seat will be installed (that is on your dad’s list – as well as get a haircut and trim his beard! ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) And we are all just so thankful that you are joining our family! We cannot wait to meet you our #MillieBea
