Right now most of our house project attention is going to the shed. We are still working on the electrical and all the trenching, permitting, electrical panel work for that. It is a lot of work but we are in the home stretch and once the electric is all in place and approved, the rest will really come together pretty quickly (at least one can hope!) All that to say, I needed a little project I could do on my own that would make our house more homey – and I picked our bedroom nook!
We have this odd cutout in our bedroom. It is because of the stairs and this window but I’ve never really known what to do with the space. Often it holds pillows from the bed or piles of things I need to organize – fancy I know! Really it has just been undecorated and it hasn’t been shown in any of my bedroom photos here on the blog! But here it is now!
I put our old entry way table in this nook to hold some of my office things in this drawer. Right now my main work space is the kitchen table so it is nice to have a home base for my stuff! I also set up my Harry Potter books because they are just too pretty! All our books are still in boxes, that will change one day but for now these guys were able to escape!
The final touch, and what really just makes this space come together, are the posters and frames from The Poster Store! I have purchased posters from here before (see our entryway!) and I just love the quality and style!
