Snapshots from Billings, MT

I used to do a “snapshots” post from all of our travels but recently they have fallen off the map. Yikes. I just looked back into the archives and I skip all of 2018. I still blogged about some of the trips but not in the same snapshot formula! Maybe when I have time I will share some older trips – I blame it on having a baby ๐Ÿ˜‰ This space is to encourage and educate but it is also to document and invite you into my life. If you learn anything from following Oak + Oats, I hope that it is to embrace the beauty in everyday and to make memories with your family. They don’t have to be extravagant or expensive but time goes by in the blink of an eye. Always look for the beauty and purpose in the season you are in!

Some of our best friends moved to Billings, MT (why does everyone have to move away?!?), so we planned a fall trip to see them and their new bebe girl! It was just an extended weekend that happened to be the day after we put in an offer on our new house!! haha. This trip included a lot of downtime (life with babies) but we also did a lot of fun exploring in the Billings area. Hilde also adored the new baby which put both Bruce and I at ease because we will have a newborn in our house before we know it!

One of the fall things we did was go to Ross Orchards! It was so beautiful and so delicious! We ate apple treats (the dessert of my heart!) and drank fresh cider. They even had hard cider that the rest of the group thoroughly enjoyed. I also found a new favorite apple – the wealthy. It was so darn good.

We also hiked around in town and ate at some local favorites – a good time was had by all!
