Growing up every Easter morning, we would wake to find an Easter Basket sitting at the end of our bed. My mama was always so intentional about celebrating holidays. She always included an element of fun while also making sure we understood the meaning behind each holiday. With Easter coming up, I started the hunt for Hilde’s first Easter Basket. Passing on traditions is one of my favorite things about being a mama.
Thanks to an Instagram ad (they work! haha) I found Hallmark Baby and fell in love with this Easter basket. I plan to use it each year from now on! I wanted to by matching ones for my future kids but I don’t know anything about them which makes it hard to shop for them! haha. I’ll just have to find fun ones for each kiddo! I’m linking everything I filled Hilde’s basket with at the end of the post just in case you fall in love with any of the same things I did!
But this Easter holds more significance than just being “baby’s first” – Hilde is getting baptized Easter Sunday!! I’m trying to figure out how to get photos of it as my go to photographers will be spending the holiday with their families but I’d love to share more about her baptism here! We recently started going to an Anglican church (that we love) so while Bruce and I were baptized as teenagers, we will be baptizing Hilde as a baby. We went to a class on baptism before we decided to and really felt peace and excitement over choosing to have her baptized! If you were baptized, were you an infant, a child, or an adult? I always love hearing people’s baptism stories!
I also love all the things we picked for Hilde’s Easter Basket that I am already letting her play with it all! haha. Eventually I am going to have to be a bit more patient and secretive with her gifts!
