When I shared on the blog that 2018 was the year of finding better for me personal, beauty, and hygiene products SO many of you chimed in and wanted to hear what I was finding. So far I’ve found some things that I love and things I honestly could live without. It’s a journey and I am happy to share it with you! While I’ll have some of those “I didn’t like” posts coming up later, this one is just a Thursday Links with my current favorite 9 that I have been working into my life. I’m loving all these brands & products and recommend them 100%!
NATURAL BEAUTY PRODUCTS
Herban Cowboy for Her -$7
Last year I got the itch to dump antiperspirant and get a natural deodorant. I tried a bunch and wanted to make a blog post about it but never did… oops. But I did find this brand and they are the best. Love by Herban Cowboy was the first one that I got but I also have Blossom as well and they both smell GREAT! Not like lavender or lemon grass (what normal natural deodorants tend to smell like.) I use this daily and love it.
Coconut Oil – $13
I did a Instagram story about needing a natural moisturizer and so many people responded (that is another post coming one day 😉 ) I tried a couple but didn’t love any of them. It is hard to get a good moisturizer and something that battles my acne… all while being natural. I read a couple articles about Coconut Oil and thought I would just try that to see how it goes. I’m loving in. It helps my dry skin but also fights my acne with it’s antibiotic skills. I’ve also been rubbing it on my belly, chest, and back to help with the stretching & itchy skin!
au Naturale Foundation – $38
So this was a crazy buy for me but I’ve also been having a hard time finding a natural foundation. I need some coverage but I also like to keep my look as natural as possible. I found this through A Beautiful Mess as one of their favorite natural beauty items so I had to try it out! I got a lighter shade for the winter but I am feeling like I’ll need to get a shade up for the summer!
Love, Beauty, & Planet – $14.50
I’ve been using the hope & repair duo of this shampoo and conditioner and loving the moisture it gives to my hair (it’s got coconut oil in it!) Next time I might try the volume one but not because I didn’t like this kind, just because I would like to see which is best for my hair! I love the smells, ingredients, and eco-friendly packaging! Also, this price point is on point for natural hair care products of this caliber! Really wanting to try out their dry shampoo too!
Mint & Argan Lip Balm – $4
I just signed up for the Grove Collaborative and it was the best choice! It is perfect for finding natural products at affordable prices! You don’t even have to commit to much, you just sign up and place an order and you are in! haha. If you are interested, you can use this link and get a $10 credit when you sign up! But back to the chapstick – it is natural, actually works, and smells amazing! It is a must have in my purse when I go out!
Prenatal Whole Food Multivitamin – $28 (30 day count) $64 (90 day count)
In my first trimester I needed a gummy vitamin just so that I could keep it down and not throw it up. But moving into my second trimester, I felt much better and knew I needed better ingredients in my vitamins. I came across these ones and are made with nutritious and organic real food.
Fruit Pigmented® Pomegranate Oil Anti Aging Lipstick – $30
I found this lipstick at 100% pure and I am loving it. I got a bunch of lipsticks to try out and this is the one I keep reaching for! It goes on well and looks good! Plus it smells great and has all kinds of good ingredients! I love it because it doesn’t dry out my lips one bit!
Beautycounter Balancing + Charcoal Mask – $49
I’ve heard great things about this mask and charcoal in general, so I ordered some from my friend Griffin Hill! I’ve never really had the skin I want and now that I am pregnant, my face is living in hormone mode all the time! This is such a good deep cleanse for my face! I’ve been trying to be faithful to do it a couple times a week!
Volumizing Lip & Cheek Tint – $36
I saw this in A Beautiful Mess review of lipsticks and thought it looked so great. I loved the color and that you could use it as a blush so I tried it out! I’ve been loving using it as a blush and honestly use it that way more than I use it on my lips. But it is the perfect lip tint when I want to put something on and having it be really natural.
And these are my top favorites and what I am loving now! I obviously don’t have all the things but I am working on switching things over and making the bigger changes!
PS: So I haven’t been able to find a face wash I love – I’m still on the hunt for that so holla if you have one you love! I am thinking about trying out this bar of soap for my face (aka I just ordered it off Amazon). I have a thing against soap bars so I’ll have to get over that but simple may just be better.
I know people swear by microfiber face cloths that you use with just water. I haven’t tried them myself yet but I want to. Also look into making your own cleansing oil, since the coconut oil is working well for you!
Yeah! That’s what people are saying! I am just afraid I am too lazy to make my own! haha.
I ended up making my own face wash with some essential oils, witch hazel and jojoba oil! It works way better than my old makeup remover did!
Coconut oil is the best!! I use it to do a hair mask and take off my makeup. 🙂

Yes! It really is the best!
