My alarm went off at 8:00 am. The house was still relatively silent besides the dripping off the coffee in the kitchen – obviously my dad was already up. It was Sarah’s wedding day and the family was staying in a large beach house my parents rented for the occasion. Megan and I had decided to walk to grab donuts in the morning, so we met up in the kitchen and slipped on our chacos. We walked the less than a block trip and came back with treats for everyone. Wedding days should always begin with something special.
I tried to soak up each detail from the day. I know from experience how fast the wedding days fly. Yet this one was different from the many that I’ve been a part of – we all already gathered at home (well, the vacation home), plans were already in place, the guest list was smaller, and we were all on vacation. We ate together, played in the ocean, chatted about the events from the day before (specifically, how all the boys got home late from the bachelor party and were being quite loud), and looked at all the instax photos we took at the batchelorette party. And then went to get ready for Sarah’s beach wedding.
It rained & poured while we got ready and we prayed that it would stop in time to set up for the wedding (it did.) But the whole time instead of stressing, we just laughed and chatted, and sat in our matching robes sharing our excitement for Sarah’s new journey. Then the wedding began – we ran off to pictures, the ceremony made everyone cry, and we partied the rest of the night. It always flies by so quickly.
Minted brought so many of these moments to life. From the perfect Batchelorette Party invitations I created (Big Sister having too much fun over here!!) to the table numbers glistening with silver foil for the reception – we were able to create more memories and more moments. I heard countless guests ooh and awe over the programs and tuck them into their bags for safe travels back home. The quality and intentionality of Minted is seriously unmatched. We were able to customize the invites, table numbers, and programs for the wedding. The best part was that we didn’t even have to stress about making sure everything was perfect, a Minted editor made sure to look it over and send over a final draft!
I also went to Minted alone to create a gift for my baby sister – a picture from her engagement – beautifully printed and framed. Something that she will be able to hang in her home years to come and her children will be able to look at and remark on how young they look. This picture is one of my personal favorites from their engagement session because it captures them & their joy SO well! I’ve been a Minted lover for quite some time and all the products they offer for weddings just keeps expanding. I wish I had known about them for my wedding five years ago, but now I’ll just advocate for others weddings 😉 I mean, they have the most gorgeous Save-The-Dates and Wedding Invitations! When Sarah was walking through wedding planning, I was able to help with details & decisions and Minted made a lot of those choices easier!
The details melted into the wedding day, making every turn something to enjoy & explore. From the parties, to the ceremony in the sand, to the reception tables, and to the walls of their first house. By the way, it totally stopped raining and the ceremony proceeded as planned on the beach with programs in hand and smiles on faces. It may have been a little cooler than we would expect a beach wedding to be but it was beautiful just the same. And yes, when the photographer sends us the images from the day I will be sharing them with you – I just know they are going to be magical!
Beth! This is so beautiful! Love all the details and memories you captured! And the details with all the Minted goodies are on point! Your sister looks so beautiful!
