There is something magical about the beach. I’m drawn to it while also being completely terrified by it all at the same time! Multiple times during the day we would adventure out of the ac and walk up to the shore. Each time I was surprised by the bath-like temperatures of the Atlantic Ocean. The Ron Jon shop near our resort would always announce the water temperature – 84 degrees. That’s insane if you grew up near mountain lakes & rivers made up of snow melt.
We found ourselves eating dinner each night right on the beach where we could listen to the waves and partake in the happy hour specials. Plus the breeze always picked up around sunset and helped (kind of) cool us off! I have a tendency to carry around a light jacket or cardigan for when the sun sets and the night turns cool (it’s habit from my Colorado life). Here in Florida we didn’t have to worry about that at all. The sun would set, the water would still be warm, and we would still be just as hot & sticky 😉
I love this flowy dress from Old Navy & I’m so glad I brought it to Florida with me. It was perfect for dancing in the ocean as the sun set. and not passing out in the hot Florida sun 😉
What a gorgeous place! And that breezy dress looks just perfect for an evening in the waves!

It was so fun!
These photos are so dreamy! I’m always blown away by the warmth of the Atlantic waters, too. I grew up with access to the Pacific ocean but always found those waters cold. Going to the beach and finding the water comfortable is like a strange, new, wonderful world.
I know! I also only really know that ocean! So it was hilarious!
I lived in Miami and Orlando for the majority of my younger years–Cocoa Beach was always one of our favorites.
That is so fun! I had no idea! I really loved it there! I told Bruce I could by a beach house there 😉 It would be hard to abandon my mountains completely! haha
That looks fabulous! I’ve never been much of a beach person, but now that I’m in a land-locked state, I kind of want to go!
Also, that dress is just adorable.
