Easy Summer Style

Location: Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

Outfit Details: Gap T-Shirt Dress  ||  Sofia Chaco Sandals (c/o) || The Simply Raw Earrings (c/o) || The Wanderer Necklace (c/o) || The Leather Capri Camera Bag

Great news on the Mayberry home front – we renewed our Cheyenne Mountain Zoo memberships for my birthday so we’ll be hitting up our favorite zoo for at least one more year 😉 (YAY!) These pictures were taken on our lunch date to the zoo. Yes, we go to the zoo for lunch in the middle of the work day because they seriously have some of the best burgers around town. And their pickles?!?!  Literally the best I’ve ever had – I’m not lying! Also they have some of the best walking trails & scenery so who doesn’t love a quick walk after they eat?! It balances everything out!

We both grew up in town and have many fond memories of going to this zoo as kids. We walk around talking about the “old zoo”and places that are super nostalgic to us. Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is SO great with updating the zoo and creating beautiful habitats for the animals but we love finding pieces of the old zoo – like this rock wall. I remember when we were kids rock walls like this were everywhere with growth from the natural environment (a mountain) growing all around it. The smell of pine and an upcoming thunderstorm fill the area and my memories!

PS: This dress? I picked it up at GAP last week (yes, I actually went into the store not just ordered on line!) and I instantly fell in love with it! It is such an easy summer dress for all the adventures and reasons! So freaking comfy… and cute too! Easy summer style at it’s finest!

PPS: Top Knots? They are my new favorite. I don’t know what it is about them but I have to intentionally try not to wear one every day!! haahha!

I came to your blog specifically to find a post about these shoes and ask about them…funny coincidence! I’ve been needing a new pair of sandals and was hoping to invest in a comfy pair. These always seem very casual, have you been able to dress them up easily?? And how long have you had yours? Just curious 🙂 Thanks!!

YAY! I love love love these Chacos! I just took them as my only pair of shoes to Cleveland and wore them the whole time as we did all our touristy walking & even at the wedding! To me they are way more dressy than my other chacos so they count as dressy 😉 hahah! And they are leather – so that is dressy! haha. I know other people have different standards though! I recommend breaking them in before you do a long day of walking but after that, they are good to go! They start to mold to your feet kinda like Birkenstocks!

This outfit looks so cute and laidback. It seems effortlessly stylish and perfect for adventuring! As someone who burns really easily as well having your shoulders covered is a great idea.

I grew up going to the Cheyenne mountain zoo too! My grandpa actually worked there for most of my childhood. I love finding others who love it as much as I do!
Also, that dress is absolutely gorgeous. T shirt dresses are my favorite because they are so easy!

I adore this look! So perfect for casual summer days and dates at the zoo. Gosh, I miss the zoo – my husband and I loved going together too. It’s just the perfect atmosphere for wandering and people watching. Hope you have a lovely weekend, Beth!
