Morning Coffee

I’ve been spending lots of time on our back porch lately. Even the early, chilly mornings. The flowers we added (and our new patio furniture from Target) really make the space much more inviting. I’m draw to the outdoors – to think, to breathe, to reset, to remember Truth.

The other morning the weirdest thing happened to me. It came in the form of a knock on the door at 7:00 in the morning. There was a second knock and I opened my eyes trying to figure out if this was a dream or not (we obviously don’t have kids because we were both still in bed.) There was one more knock and I hurried down the stairs throwing out my mouth guard (I know, cute right?!) and peeked the door open.

“Oh great! You’re home!” The mailman smiled at me and shoved a package into my hands. I thanked him, shut the door, and wondered what was so important 😉 I opened the package (after throwing my hair up and pulling my sweatshirt on) and discovered that there was a Thermos® of hot coffee packed inside. It was an overnight shipment of hot coffee ready for me to enjoy. That makes waking up a bit easier 😉

So I spent the morning sipping hot coffee on the back porch. Reading, resting, dreaming, and getting ready for the day.
