Camping trips fill up the majority of my memory bank from my childhood. I’m a Colorado native – grew up here at the foot of Pikes Peak, nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Our family was a ministry family of 6 with a stay at home mom. Suffice to say, our vacation budget was not large but it was needed. My parents always found a way to get away. To bring us deeper into the mountains, make us hike for hours, open our eyes to the world around us, point out the constellations, and pack us into a small living space.
No mater how many times my sister elbowed me in the face or my brother snored, those moments were magical. Just the sound of the woods, the rustling of leaves (or could they be bears?!?!), and the soothing song of the crickets all night. I’ve always cherished those moments, those vacations, those weeks tucked into the woods.
This year I picked up a new tent and sleeping bag – sometimes you just outgrow things and sometimes you get tired of always borrowing your parents gear every time you need adventure 😉 We adventured out to break in our new gear and I am thrilled with the quality, style, and feel of my new Women’s Rhapsody 15 Sleeping Bag by Nemo. It is a new take on the mummy bag and instead makes a hourglass type of shape – leaving room for us side sleepers! It’s also pretty and purple.
A good sleeping bag makes all the difference. If you are too cold or uncomfortable, you will not sleep well and wake up rested for the next day. Adventure is exhausting, make sure that you can crawl in for bed and sleep through the night!

What type of sleeping bag do you have? Have you tried Nemo? Do you love to camp?
Oh man, why haven't I discovered huckberry before?! I'd definitely get one of the backpacks, I'm a not so great hiker and always love to venture out. I have a tendency to carry a lot of crap with me and am definitely due for an upgrade!
This is great! I have a Columbia that I got when I was in high school because it is compact and I could take it on month long international mission trips without taking up all of my packing space.
My husband I enjoy getting away to camp. We have a goal to go 3-4 times this summer. We have been once already and we are planning to have a camp out in our backyard with our friends next weekend! Gear is definitely something we need help with when we go camping though – a lot of ours is beg and/or heavy.
we have a tent but it's a small one, so i would use the $100 towards a new/roomier tent!
I do not have a sleeping bag but I totally agree about needing a good one if you are a camper. Im not super big into camping but the times that I have gone, I haven't had a good sleeping bag and I was miserable because I spent the whole night being cold. Your sleeping bag is super cute though! I love how it tapers in at the waist.
Oh man, we love camping! I'm so excited to find some great camping out here! Tyler and I definitely need to add one of those parachute hammocks to our camp gear!
I'm kind of intrigued by the Bedrock Sandals!
Also, I heart camping, and I'm so excited for us to go sometime soon! #friendcations
Annnnnnd I have a Mountain Hardwear sleeping bag!
I'd love the get the Rover backpack. This would come in very handy.
Loving their items. I would be the Northwesterner.
I have the Lyra from REI and I love it! It keeps me cozy even when there's still snow on the ground!
We love to camp! We try to get out and explore the Cascades at least 2 times a month in the spring/summer!
I'd use the $100 to get a blanket and a new thermos!
I am currently on the hunt for a new sleeping bag for a summer adventure! I love that you mentioned that this one allows for lots of room for side sleepers! Need!
