another thing on my autumn to-do list (that is helping me make the most of my days) is take a getaway to the mountains. i am blessed to live so close to gorgeous views and peaceful places. this past weekend we hopped on 24 and headed into the mountains with some of our dearest friends. the boys played airsoft in the morning fog and the girls made cookies (cabin living!!) and caught up on life. the rest of our time was spent playing games, gathering at meals, enjoying the fall weather, and drinking micro brews.
it was a lovely weekend and i am happy to say that this will not be our only mountain getaway – we are already planning a Breckenridge getaway with our small group (but maybe it will be snowing by then!) i highly recommend you find a weekend to get away – there is something to say for a weekend spent away.
“Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and all that fills it; then shall all the trees of the forest sing for joy!” – Psalm 96:11-12
ah i'm so jealous! I live like 4+ hours away form the mountains…I want to go to a cabin!
