Every couple has different dreams & plans for their wedding day. Some stick to tradition and have their first looks as the walk down the aisle. While others document their first look before the ceremony.
We opted for the later as we really wanted a quick turn over between the ceremony and reception. We also wanted to take lots of pictures before the sun went down. Both of us love efficiency so we never doubted our decision to take all our pictures before the wedding but others were concerned about us loosing the “power of the first look” – I think it was pretty memorable out in that field and even when I walked down the isle hours later that tall man cried big fat tears so I think we still had “the power.” If you are debating when to have your “first look,” I vote before. But like I said, each couple has their own style.
I'm planning my wedding right now, so I'm totally in "wedding mode" – something we have been really thinking about is whether or not to do a First Look. I just love your photos AND your reasoning behind it! Thanks for sharing 🙂
Yeah! We loved taking all the photos before the wedding so that we didn't need to worry about rushing and/or eentertaining our guests while we were taking pictures!
Awesome! I've been really nerdy in my research with people's preferences on that. I'm so glad you had a great experience!
