this past weekend i was able to go up to camp for the first time since the waldo canyon fire. this is a pretty huge deal because camp was in the middle of the burned area and once even mentioned on the news as being burned to the ground. when we heard that camp had been spared and the fire literally made a circle around it, we knew the Lord protected it for a reason. eagle lake holds a huge place in our hearts (both of ours). we met as campers in high school & then spent many summers after that as counselors. both of us “grew up” at camp & had the Lord challenge us in new ways. camp is our second home. it was so fun to see the camp full of life & almost so beautiful to see how close the fire had come.
Your pictures are really cute and sweet! 🙂 I´ve never gone camping. Maybe I will because it seems like you had an awesome time! 😀
PS: I´m so glad I´m able to comment again, for some reason I couldn´t get into my blogger account for like a month! 😛

Beth,
Thanks for showing pics and talking about Eagle Lake. I know it holds a dear place in your heart and it holds a dear place in mine as well – i was a camper there back in middle school.
Glad to hear that you all are safe and sound of God's protection for a place so amazing!
Oh wow these pictures are gorgeous. THIS is how I picture summer, much more so than beach scenes. I love that you two met while camping!
This place is hauntingly beautiful! Wow!
