Marriage, Valentines/ Galentines

That Girl on Valentine’s Day

I said I wouldn’t do this.
You know, be that girl who talks about her boy on Valentine’s Day…
But here I am doing just that.

This is the kid I fell in love with – ponytail, Chacos, flirt 😉 The only thing was that he put me in the friend zone real fast.

I just couldn’t get over his golden locks, his manly strength, his cheesy smile, and his awkward faces. Mmmm…. I was smitten

Look at my face in that one – I am a goner! That volleyball champion has me at his fingertips! I am practically screaming out “date me, marry me, choose me!!!” and he is saying “look how scary this face is! are you sure you want to date me?!! Please back off crazy girl!”

Then one day he realized how amazing I was and decided that dating his best friend would be the best thing! YAY ME! Turns out he liked me too all along he was just waiting for the Lord’s timing 😉

and… HAPPILY EVER AFTER.

So yes, I am thankful for this kid on valentines day 2013. He gets to be my valentine for the rest of my life and that is one of the biggest blessings in the world!

BUT I AM ALSO so very thankful for love that never fails. This is the love that changed my world. This is the love that I cannot live without. I pray that you know & feel how loved you are today. Whether or not you have a “boy” in your life, you are loved so deeply by your Creator and King. (Romans 8:38-39)
