Rumors flew like crazy Tuesday night and we cried as we watched the news.
Starbucks, gone.
Woodmen Road, gone.
Woodmen Valley Chapel, destroyed.
Camp, flattened.
Not all was true. At the end of the night, 347 homes were destroyed but countless were saved.
This year 4th of July looks a bit different. No fireworks. No sparklers. No flames. Just a crowd standing on a street corner cheering for the firefighters as they drive by.
This has become a gathering point for our community or thankfulness, joy, and remembrance.
I am blessed.
