Baby Shower Gift Guide

It has been 8 years since I started sharing baby content here on this blog (I cannot believe my baby turned 8 this year!!!) Several babies later and now moving into “big kid” season, I have started gravitating to some baby supplies that have stood the test of time when planning or attending a baby shower. My kids may be getting bigger, but we are still saying hello to many new babies in our family and friend groups, gathering to pray over these little lives and bless mama.
Just recently I threw a bestie a shower for a friend welcoming baby #4! All babies need to be celebrated, prayed over, and welcomed into the world. While needs may change from baby #1 to baby #4, there are still many gifts that can be practical and special to give to a mama-to-be in your life and here are my go-tos!

BABY SHOWER GIFT TIPS

Tip #1 – Combine gifts to make a beautiful and intentional gift. For example, fill packing cubes (that can me used for multiple purposes over the years) with diapers and wipes (that will get used up when baby comes!)

Tip #2 – Gift a brand new journal Bible for the new baby. Instead of everyone writing notes on cards (that may or may not get misplaced over time) invest in an heirloom gift that everyone can highlight favorite verses and write prayers in that can be read for years to come. Parents, family, and friends can add to it over the years!

Tip #3 – An heirloom stuffie makes a great gift for any baby. It is so sweet to have a special stuffie to grow with through the years.

Tip #4 – It is okay to buy a gift just for mama that feels like a splurge. We all know that the more kids we have, the less we buy for ourselves! You know mom best, feel free to give her something she wouldn’t buy herself!
