It has been some amount of years (pre-pandemic for sure) since we made it up to Eagle Lake Camp. The place where Bruce and I met. The place we fell in love. The place the Lord changed and grew our hearts individually and together. The place where we forged uncountable lifelong relationships. And the place were countless good things and cherished memories happened. It’s pretty much the best place ever so send your kids to camp here 😉
We still have friends who work at camp and have worked their way up the ranks (shout out to the Klackners) so we went up this summer for the last chapel of camp to listen to Shane speak and also hug our nephew who worked as a counselor this summer (how are we that old!?!?)
Ironically the last Sunday of camp in mid August gave us chilly weather and foggy views! We still had a blast and soaked up the hour of time before we had to leave for campers to arrived by playing in the lake! Just looking at all these babies running around camp in these photos – ALL their parents are Eagle Lakers! Each one of us meeting at camp or through camp – it is just a testament to this place and how it changes lives!
The cold weather (and closed waterfront 😉 ) couldn’t keep our kids from playing! We’ll have to go back up when we can actually see the views but as we drove home the girls were counting down the years until they get to go to “Eagle Camps” and that made my heart burst with joy. Until then, enjoy these summertime in Colorado pictures!
