We did monthly photos for Hilde and I shared them all in her 1st birthday blog post! When I found out I was pregnant with baby #2, I made a vow to keep taking pictures! I didn’t want to have tons of photos of Hilde and none of Millie (you know the classic second, third, forth child problem) and that starts with those monthly photos! So we’ve been taking them so far & a billion more too! I’m pretty trigger happy when it comes to my camera these days – I’m sure a lot of it has to being quarantined at home and needing some form a creativity that I can do while still taking care of my babies. The edits and posts are slow, but the photos are plenty!! HAHA.
We took these photos March 11th, 2020. Just at the beginning of all this COVID-19 stuff starting to affect us. We were keeping up with the news, washing hands like crazy people, and staying home more. The next day schools closed, gatherings were limited to 100 people (to drop days later to 10) and really it was the beginning of a season at home.
As a stay at home mama, that is not terribly new for me. We had a baby in January and Colorado was still in the middle of winter, so we have spent a lot of time inside. But inside, at home, without play dates and libraries and zoo trips is new. We’re taking it one day at a time.
With Hilde we would take her monthly photo and move on. But now a days it is a bit more of an ordeal. Hilde also wanted to be held by dad for photos and as much as we will let her, she wants to hold her baby sister at all times 😉 All four of us working together to get one monthly photo and a bunch of extra ones.
Thankful for this crazy little family of ours and the new normal in the mist of so much not normal in the world.
These are precious. Your girls are so lucky to have you as their mama! And can we talk about how hard quarantine life is for us extroverts? The having a baby in January/flu season was hard enough! haha
YEEEEESSS GIRL. All this. And thanks!! You are so sweet. One day we will be on the other end of this and get to see our freinds again!
Since I can’t hug your girls these days, I’ll take all the photos I can get! Love them so much!
Awe! Thanks Meg! We love and miss you too! One day we will hug again!
