Happy Thanksgiving. If you are wanting a play-by-play for our day, it is pretty simple. Watch the Macy’s Parade, bake pies, snuggle Hilde, and head over to family dinner with both my family and Bruce’s family! We keep it simple and full of friends & family. In many ways this Thanksgiving is the same as it is every year but of course it is not now that we have our little Hilde girl. I’m back into the sappy “firsts” for her first Thanksgiving and I am feeling all the feels. In honor of things being the same but different, I wanted to share 20 things I am thankful for this Thanksgiving. Why 20? Good question, it just sounded like a good number!
- My Family. Obvious but so true. Both Bruce & Hilde bring me so much joy. And both sides of extended family.
- Friendship & Community.
- Grace & Redemption.
- A job that I love and can do from home.
- Motherhood (this one surprised me.)
- The ability to travel.
- Disney Vacations.
- Health.
- New Furniture.
- Christmas Decorations.
- Our home (even though I often complain about it… I am really thankful for this space.)
- Family who lives nearby.
- A Cozy bed.
- Funny shows.
- Google group chats.
- My blog community.
- Colorado.
- Coffee in the Mornings.
- The Enneagram .
- Sour Patch Kids.
