Our 4th of July was spent was spent together as we usually do. It doesn’t take much to organize a family gathering and a big holiday like the 4th was an assumption. Since both sides of our families live in town, we like to get together as one big family for holidays! My parents & siblings were invited over to Bruce’s parents house with his siblings and we also invited quite a few of our friends. I love how much our parents get along & desire to be involved in each others lives. Also just how darn welcoming they are to friends – everyone is part of the family! It is a joy to be able to celebrate and spend time together.
I also loved having a reason to wear my new Stitch Fix maxi dress. While maxi dresses are always SO long on me, this one just barely touches the floor and I count that as a win! HAHA. I also love that when looking back everyone is wearing red, white, and blue. What a festive bunch of people we are. After a long afternoon eating & playing in the sun, we set out to hike up the trail to the overlook to watch the fireworks. More memories for the memory bank. More photos for the books.

I love your dress and that both sides of your family are close enough to get together. Michael and I split our holidays between families because our families are on almost complete opposite sides of the US, but we’ll take what we can get. 🙂
Totally! it is a blessing to all be so close!
Such fun! I love family get-togethers like this. And totally random, but I love your friend’s short red hair!
ahh!! Thanks! That is my little sister Sarah! She is so adorable!
Looks like a blast! I just tried that watermelon beer and it was so good! yum yum 😉
I know right?! It is so fun!
Looks and sounds like you had a wonderful 4th of July! Also, I LOVE that maxi dress! I usually have the same problem with them being too long on me too, haha.
Thanks so much! And I know right!! Short girl probs 😉
