I am a sucker for a good mail swap – and by sucker, I mean I just cannot help but jump in! Turns out giving is one of my favorite things in the whole world (just ask my husband about our giving budget) and I love being able to pick out the perfect gift for a friend.
I also am super into the idea of community and what a wonderful way that we as bloggers can move past our computer screens and into each others worlds! Essentially, #etsyswap2014 is a giant gift exchange where everyone participating gets someone to stalk and send happy mail to! Someone else also has you so a secret package comes your way! To sweeten the deal, you are totally supporting small businesses and shops and I just love everything about all of the above! Megs of Rivers & Roads and Amy of Taking Steps Home decided to host an etsy swap one day and now it is a seasonal thing – every spring & every fall. So if you missed out on this one, make sure to follow them on social media so that you don’t miss the next one!
WHAT I RECEIVED:
Meg of Me With Three had me and when I saw her name on the package, I knew it was going to be good. She filled the box with so many golden goodies and kick A Target supplies (seriously!!! Nate Berkus!) Meg sent some coffee from a local roaster (I love that) but it exploded a bit with the altitude change and so I needed to throw it into a mason jar to help it stay fresh! Journal, sharpies, to-do, list, and all things cute for my office! This girl knows me so well!
WHAT I SENT:
I found out that my secret stalking partner was Charlie of Charlie Jaymes and I was thrilled because I think she is adorable. I love her style and her blog so I knew it was going to be easy to shop for her (it would be kinda like shopping for me!!!) I was hopping to get in everything before I needed to go to Arkansas for my little sister’s wedding but no such luck – thus my package was in the mail the day after I got home from my trip – a little late but it still made it!
Tote Bag – Brooksih
Washi Tape – Thatch & Thistle
Wallet – Elah Tree
Wooden Earrings – Open Door Traders
