Oak & Oats + Sarah Lynn Paterson Collection

Over my last year of working full time as a creative I have really clung on to the saying “A rising tide lifts all boats!” There are so many creatives, photographers, bloggers, writers, that I have collaborated with that have grown Oak + Oats. They have encouraged and inspired me. We have asked questions and shared advice. The community has been crucial. I am so excited to be sharing with you our first ever Artist Series for Oak + Oats!

Shop Oak + Oats is teaming up with Sarah Lynn Paterson to bring you a spring collection! Each planter in this series is completely unique. There is only one that ever will be of these works of art! We also love how they pair well with our classic white planters and our other fun colors in the shop.

MEET THE ARTIST

Q. Tell us a little bit about yourself!

A. Hello! I am Sarah Lynn Paterson, artist entrepreneur. Art has been my haven as far back as I can remember. There was something about the way it let me escape into my own place and create elaborate images that overtook me. I decided long ago in those moments, that this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Paint, imagine, and create wonderful, lifelike images.

Q. What was your inspiration behind your Shop Oak + Oats collaboration?

A. I love painting and creating and I love it even more on unconventional surfaces. My goal is to push the rules of art and paint on anything. So when I had the opportunity to paint on the Shop Oak + Oats planters, I went for it. Going with the theme of spring, I decided to go floral. There are about a million ways to do floral, so I hope I represented a good variety.
