DIY Mother’s Day Gift Set

Mother’s Day is just around the corner and while you may have missed the date to order a gift for her online, you can still run out and create the perfect gift for her this week! I stopped by Walmart earlier this week and put together a fun Mother’s Day gift basket for under $35.

I am always looking for new perfumes because I don’t ever want to smell bad and I know I am not the only one who does that. I have a hard time however buying perfume sometimes because of the cost (and I also know that I am not the only one)! When I saw these Love2Love Perfumes at such an affordable price, I was intrigued. I spent time smelling them all, settled on the Jasmine & Sparkling Mimosa because it was carefree, invigorating and energetic (like the first day of Spring and maybe also like a delicious drink,) and planned a Gift Set around it.

Gift Sets always make great gifts for any kind of holiday but sometimes they just are not as personal as they could be. With not much extra effort, you can make personalized gift sets for all occasions – including the upcoming one: Mother’s Day!

WHAT YOU NEED: First you need to pick something to hold everything in. This can be a variety of things depending on the person and gift! I picked a beautiful make-up case because mom can always use a new travel case (let’s be honest, sometimes the old ones just need to be thrown away – the toothpaste has exploded one too many times in the airplane and the lipstick stains are not coming out.) It also fit perfectly with the Love2Love fragrance that I themed the whole gift around! Then you start filling up the rest with other things YOUR mom would love – a card, lipstick, bright sunglasses, a new baby succulent, and candy!

If you want to find the same perfume I used, it is easy! Most Walmart’s have a huge end display where you can see all the Love2Love fragrances including the newest one, Bluebell + White Tea. My Walmart didn’t have the new one or and end display so if that is the case for you too, it is really easy to find set up in the make-up and perfume aisle! They even have a gift bag for 50 cents if you want to wrap your gift in a bag.
HOW TO: Once you have everything you want, you start organizing it in your holder. In this case, I used the make up bag! I stuffed some tissue paper at the bottom to help everything fit while also be seen. You can gift it like this or set into a gift bag – the choice is up to you! I tend to open gift them and maybe tie a ribbon around it for good measure! That is the beauty of a gift set – it is the wrapping and the gift!

Have you ever made a gift set like this? Which of the five fragrances would you use to build a gift set around? Which one would your mom love most? Have you finished your Mother’s Day Shopping yet?
