boycott over

i just wanted to let you know that my super bowl boycott is over. (see monday’s post)

ONE: i realized that it is actually a bit endearing that the Ravens won their first ever Super Bowl and i have a huge place in my heart for the underdog.
TWO: i realized that having our playoff loss be to the team that won the super bowl makes our team look stronger. we didn’t lose to losers. you know what i mean?!
so to celebrate the end of my three day boycott, i will post my top four super bowl ads:
(starting with my favorite because i am too excited to post backwards!)
1. The Clydesdales – Brotherhood. (i cried)
2. Doritos -Fashionista Daddy. (it’s not about the chips)
3.  Jeep – Whole Again (i also cried)
4. Taco Bell – Viva Young (i sang along the whole time i didn’t realize it was in spanish until today!)
next year, BRONCOS are going to kick butt.
just saying.
  • the budweiser and jeep commercials both made me cry too. like cry cry. i was apparently a little emotional. 😉

  • p.s. i didn't want to tell you during the super bowl because i thought it might jeopardize our friendship, but i was totes cheering for the ravens. i mean, michael oher is on that team. i gotta cheer for the blindside. 🙂

  • Love the commercials too! BUT as a Ravens fan, I must correct you and say that the Ravens won the Super Bowl in 2000 also 🙂 I'm from Maryland, what can I say 😉

  • Oh my goodness, the Taco Bell ad was BY FAR my favorite of the night. So so perfect. Glad to hear that the Super Bowl is back in your heart. May the American tradition live long and prosper!

  • I cried in the same commercials! Haha.

  • Hey! Thanks so much for the follow! I was totally cheering for the Broncos this year too. I am moving to Colorado in a few months, and I am SO EXCITED. Plus, I am originally from Indianapolis, so I feel a very real emotional attachment to Peyton Manning 😉 I like to say I am following him to CO. Anyway, nice to meet you! I love your blog!

  • You definitely picked some of the best commercials. Totally almost cried (it took a lot not to!) during the Jeep commercial and the Clydedale commercial is a family fave at my house!

  • I tend to love the funnier commercials better…it's embarrassing to cry at a superbowl party! 🙂
